Tidewater Region of Antique Automobile Club of America (TRAACA)

Mark McAlpine – President
Serving the greater Hampton Roads area of Virginia, the Tidewater Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America (TRAACA) is dedicated to the preservation of our automotive history, from the earliest “horseless carriages” to vehicles just turning 25 years old.  Family-oriented and extremely active, the TRAACA offers a wealth of experience and knowledge to the fledgling auto enthusiast, and the chance to get to know some of the nicest people in the old car hobby!   If you are new to the area, just getting into the hobby, or simply love old cars, check us out.    All it takes to join the TRAACA is membership in the national AACA—the largest and most active antique car club in the world—and an interest in the old car hobby.  For less than the cost of a good dinner ($25 year), you can join the TRAACA and benefit from the unique and valuable experience of people who have been playing with old cars for decades.  The TRAACA is one of the most active and open clubs in AACA, with monthly meetings and special programs year-round.  Participate in as many or few activities as you want; you’ll have fun either way.  No matter if you are restoring a Model A Ford, a Dodge pickup, an MG, Packard, Porsche, classic muscle car, or anything in between, you'll find someone in the TRAACA who can help you with your project.  And if you’re a military veteran, we offer a free one-year membership in the AACA and TRAACA.

TSRA has an annual car show in Colonial Williamsburg, VA at the Woodlands Hotel parking lot across from the Conference Center -- Colonial Williamsburg Rod Run. The car show draws 150-plus participants from Virginia and surrounding states. Our Colonial Williamsburg Rod Run now features street rods, automobiles and trucks from 1972 or earlier. The annual CWRR will be held on April 26 & 27, 2013. With just over 15 members, we are the Best Little Car Club That Could, as we put on the Williamsburg Rod Run with a small band of members who work very hard and are completely dedicated. We are a club with a big heart as we support many causes and charities. Most of our club members are proud members of the NSRA or National Street Rod Association and we fully support and belong to the Virginia Peninsula Car Club Council--VPCCC.
